the record for the most people insulted in a single paragraph!

Aw, it wasn't that bad. It was at least sort of funny; as I homeschooler, I guess I didn't find it overly insulting, and it did have some truth to it. Most stereotypes do have some truth. For example,

the whitest people you know: I think most homeschoolers I know are white, and lean towards the Scotch-Irish type.

holding Sunday school every day of the week: most homeschoolers I know are indeed more religious than the average, and many do study religion daily, at least the more intelligent set. I'm actually a little taken aback the bible isn't studied in literature and history class in public school; it is certainly part of any core knowledge.

producing kids: it is a fact that homeschoolers have more children than the 2.1 American average.

declaim against Charles Darwin: here's where I lose him; most homeschoolers I know are not opposed to Darwin (but these types aren't unknown, either). But heck, personally I would be happy if students these days could articulate any arguement at all about evolution, as long as they knew a mitochondria from a eukaryotic.

so screwed up socially that you can’t imagine them getting a date except years later as part of a group outing: I think most kids these days tend to hang out with their own type of folk (Christians with Christians, punks with punks, jocks with jocks) and would be pretty insecure if they tried to cross social lines. Like dates like.

But if we can't laugh at the Voice, what can we laugh at? The NYT, I guess :-).
