I appreciate the humility, but I have aggregated and regularly read dozens of education blogs, and you easily have one the best. The content is interesting and relevant, and the commentary both from yourself and others is engaging, honest and civil.
From the interview:
“Yet when I brought up Hirsch and Core Knowledge in my grad school classes, the reaction was, “Oh, that dead white guy stuff? Nobody takes that seriously.”
As a full time teacher and EdD student I hear this all the time, so how do we deal with it? Its hard to argue for a Core Knowledge when half the room has you pegged as a bigot, regardless of whether its true or not.
Would every day were a slow day like this!
Terrific interview, Robert. Congratulations.
Excellent! We are fortunate to have your eloquence representing the Core Knowledge Foundation.
